Russia to ban 9000 NGO’s and fine 5000 NGO’s

The Ministry of Justice in Russian had made a request to the Judiciary to ban 9000 Non Governmental organisations in Russia and also to impose fines on another 5000 Non Governmental Organisations.
It is learnt the organisation called ‘Glose’ under who’s administration the NGO’s function had confirmed that many of the NGO’s that are functioning have not been registered with them............

In the meanwhile the Russian President Vladimir Putin says that all NGO’s should function according to the rules and regulations of the Russian government. He added they should be registered as foreign agents. Those who flout the regulations would be charged a sum of US$ 16000 which is equivalent to Rs 50,0000/
