President Obama signed a continuing resolution into law on March 26 which requires NASA, the Commerce and Justice departments and the National Science Foundation to clear IT acquisitions with companies that maintain supply-chain links to Chinese state-owned firms.
The administration is now saying the new measures will do little to help cybersecurity and are seeking their removal from future appropriations bills, according to an FCW article.
