Those who participated in the word’s first naked sea swim named ’Sidney Skini’ amounted to over tens of thousands of persons was highly successful venture. It was for a meritorious cause. The organisers were able to collect a sum of over 15000 US$ from this event. The swim commenced at 8 a.m on Sunday from the Sidney harbour for participants to swim a distance of 900 metres.

The organiser Nigel Marsh stressed that it was not the naked swimming was not the priority and intention and it was because he wanted to do something new and different.
Nigel Marsh  further disclosed to the ‘Morning Herald’ that for this event an 89 old gentleman, persons without legs, crippled persons, thin and fat persons, irrespective of their health conditions participated willingly to make it a resounding success.
Ten years back Nigel Marsh had organised a swim termed ‘Bonde to Bronway’ swim was organised by which was also a resounding success and he derived a huge satisfaction. He had stressed that he wanted to something different to it.The sum collected then was 15000 $ which he donated to the national parks and wild life foundation.
