International think tank, Eurasia Group, has named the Russian President Mr Vladimir Putin as the world’s 2nd most powerful person.The first position has left vacant, realizing that,there is no proper leader for the world.
This list which is being published by the ‘Foreign Policy’ magazine, is prepared by considering the abilities of the persons who can singlehandedly bring about the changes which significantly affects the lives of large number of people.
Mr Ian Bremmer, the President of Eurasia Group indicates that, the first place was kept vacated since there is no true world leader while the persons who are in power are not facing the global challenges.
Mr Vladimir Putin has received the 2nd place due to the personalized system in the country, and influence the country wields in regional affairs.
Mr Ben Bernanke, the Chief of Special Federal Force has been placed on the third position due to the number of ways that he can influence the U.S economy, as well as the global economy, through it.
Mrs Anjela Merkel, the power which binds Europe, U.S.President Mr Barak Obama,President of European Central Bank, Mr Mario Draghi, and China’s new leader, Mr Xi Jinpin are the other individuals mentioned in this list.
Iranian Spiritual Leader, Ayatollah Khamenei,and Christine Lagrade the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, have been tied for the 8th place.
King Abdullah Bin Abd Al Aziz,the ailing ruler of Saudi Arabia is on the 10th place due to his abilities to determine the succession of leadership in the hydrocarbon powerhouse.
