Permission granted to Saudi women wearing ‘Hijabaya’ to ride cycles.
The law that was enforced on Saudi women refraining from riding bush bicycles and motor cycles has been withdrawn. Hence the religious Police have given them to ride bicycles in parks and other areas.
It is also a condition that a male relative should be beside the Saudi women who perform this act and had made it compulsory to wear the ‘hijabaya’ dress where the whole body from head to legs have to remain covered.

An official of the Saudi religious Police had added that Saudi women could engage in servicing and repairing motor cycles only as a hobby and not as a profession. The women should not repair motor cycles used for transport purposes.
They have been warned not to remain close to where men have gathered to avoid in the happening of any abuses of any nature. In Saudi Arabia which is a large country, women are prohibited from driving. The country is regarded as the place where the birth of the Islamic religion had taken place.

Prime Minister Julia Gillard will lead a heavyweight team to China on Friday touting not just better ties and trade but also the lofty ambition of putting Asia at the heart of Australia’s future.
“I’ll be leading the most senior Australian political delegation ever to visit China,” Gillard told foreign correspondents on the eve of departure.

“I will be among the first Western leaders to meet the new leadership,” she noted.
Foreign Minister Bob Carr, Trade Minister Craig Emerson, who is also responsible for Australia’s Asian Century policy, and Financial Services Minister Bill Shorten are among senior politicians on the April 5-10 trip.
“I’ll be promoting our trade and economic interests and sharing perspectives on global and regional economic and security challenges,” she said.
The prime minister will meet President Xi Jinping at the Boao Forum for Asia in Hainan and will have talks in Beijing with Prime Minister Li Keqiang.
Gillard said she wanted not only “to celebrate our existing strong relationship and its underpinnings... but to look ahead to how we can build the comprehensive relationship envisioned in our Asian Century White Paper, including how leaders can help deliver a relationship of greater depth and durability in a more complex future”.

“The timing of this visit so soon after the new leadership has entered into office is deliberate and reflects the importance of our rapidly evolving relationship with China,” she added.
“And more broadly, it reflects the centrality of Asia in the story of our nation for the 21st century.” The Canberra government last October unveiled an “Australia in the Asian Century” plan setting education and business targets to hoist the nation into the world’s top 10 economies.
Gillard underlined that her second visit to China followed trips to India, Japan, Indonesia, South Korea, Malaysia, Vietnam and Singapore as her government seeks to bolster Australia’s standing in the region.
“Thanks to the relationships and capabilities we’ve built over four decades, Australia is pushing on an open door as we enter the Asian Century,” she said.
“Asia has the wealth and the demand. Whether we meet that demand is entirely up to us,” she warned, noting Europe and the Americas were eyeing the same opportunities.
China is Australia’s largest trading partner with two-way goods and services worth Aus$128 billion (US$134 billion).
The United States has scrambled to reinforce its Pacific missile defences, preparing to send ground-based interceptors to Guam, as North Korea said Thursday it had authorised plans for nuclear strikes on US targets. US Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel said Pyongyang’s increasingly bellicose threats combined with its military capabilities represented a “real and clear danger” to the United States and to its allies South Korea and Japan.

“They have nuclear capacity now, they have missile delivery capacity now,” Hagel said Wednesday. “We take those threats seriously, we have to take those threats seriously.” The Pentagon said it would send ground-based THAAD missile-interceptor batteries to protect military bases on Guam, a US territory some 3,380 kilometres (2,100 miles) southeast of North Korea and home to 6,000 American military personnel, submarines and bombers.
They would complement two Aegis anti-missile destroyers already dispatched to the region. Shortly after the THAAD announcement, the North Korean military said it had received final approval for military action against the United States, possibly involving nuclear weapons.
“The moment of explosion is approaching fast,” the Korean People’s Army general staff said, responding to what it called the provocative US use of nuclear-capable B-52 and B-2 stealth bombers in ongoing war games with South Korea. The US aggression would be “smashed by... cutting-edge smaller, lighter and diversified nuclear strike means,” it said in a statement.
While few of the North’s threats have been matched with action, reports Thursday said it appears to have moved a medium-range missile capable of hitting targets in South Korea and Japan to its east coast.
North Korea threatened a “pre-emptive” nuclear strike against the United States in early March, and last week its supreme army command ordered strategic rocket units to combat status.

TOM Cruise wants to go on a Tour of the Worlds — by taking a trip to space.

The Hollywood star says he would consider spending £130,000 to fly into orbit — and would love to bump into an ALIEN.
Speaking as he promoted new sci-fi film Oblivion, Cruise added: “Who wouldn’t want to do something like that?
“I’m going to let a couple of other people test it out first but it would be great. I was always hoping when I was a kid that we would be travelling to different planets by now.”

The War of the Worlds star, 50, would be following other celebs like Ashton Kutcher who plan to go into space. The Two and a Half Men star has already forked out £130,000 for Virgin Galactic’s upcoming two-hour mission.
And Scientologist Cruise believes it would not be out of this world to think aliens exist. Some of his religious pals hold that an alien called Xenu brought humans to Earth 75 million years ago.
Tom said: “I don’t think you can actually count it out.
“It might be a little arrogant to think we were the only ones in all the galaxies throughout the universe — but I’ve never met one!”
Cruise was speaking in Moscow at the Russian premiere of Oblivion, in which he plays one of the last men on Earth after an alien battle ravages the planet in 2073.
The 5ft 7in star is well practised for a trip — he once flew a Space Shuttle simulator at Nasa’s space centre in Houston, Texas. Now that’s one giant step for a small man.

When Jade King became pregnant, she probably didn’t bet on delivering one of the United Kingdom’s biggest newborns. George King was born six weeks ago, weighing in at 15 pounds, 7 ounces, Science World Report reported. A newborn baby is usually half that size.

Reports say Jade’s baby was the second-biggest baby to be delivered vaginally in the United Kingdom.George, who lives in London, with his parents, Jade and Ryan, wears clothes made for a 6-month-old. He is more than 26 inches tall, certainly taller than your average 6-week-old.Doctors didn’t realize exactly how big George was until they saw his head and then his shoulders became stuck. More than 20 doctors assisted in the delivery, according to the Science World Report.
His parents called him a ‘miracle baby,’ because he was without oxygen for five minutes, lowering his chances of survival.
He stayed in the hospital for more than four weeks before going home, and now he has since gained another pound.
